- Check your delivered engine block for cracks, the required minimum hardness, and other points.
- Clean your engine block completely inside and out, and remove coarse aluminum corrosion from the outside.
- Clamp your engine block onto a CNC milling machine and remove the factory-installed aluminum cylinders from the block.
- Bore out the engine block at the base and turn it open for the installation of new AMS chrome-molybdenum steel cylinders.
- AMS - Chrome-molybdenum steel cylinder with lamellar graphite, to be installed in the engine casing to match the displacement.
- AMS - Temper the cylinder bonding in the engine housing under preload and allow it to harden completely.
- New chrome-molybdenum steel cylinders are bored to match the piston dimensions and honed to final dimensions.
- Precisely align the future cylinder sealing surface and grind it flat against the mounting surface using a planing bench.
- Pack the engine block for travel and secure it to a pallet.
