An AMS crankshaft overhaul includes the following work:

• Check crankshaft for cracks
• Check crankshaft for dimensional accuracy and twisting / bending
• Check crankshaft bearings for dimensional accuracy
• Check the crankshaft connecting rod bearings for dimensional accuracy
• Drilling out crankshaft plugs - cleaning
• Install crankshaft plugs after machining
• Check sprockets for dimensional accuracy
• Check distributor drive, if present
• Finely grind and polish all bearing points
• Fine grinding and polishing of the contact surfaces of the Simmer rings
• Clean and flush the crankshaft with high frequency and high pressure
